Medicaid: Overview and Impact of New Regulations
A January 2008 brief from the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured focuses on six new Medicaid regulations that have been the source of considerable controversy. The brief explains current policy and proposed regulatory changes in areas including the Rehabilitation Service Option (which includes day habilitation services for people with developmental disabilities), transportation costs for school-based services, outpatient services, and targeted case management. The potential impact and associated issues are also explained and discussed. The brief is titled Medicaid: Overview and Impact of New Regulations (pdf).
